Our Results - I'm sorry to say that the Lasette didn't work for us. The company was terrific to talk with and very supportive. In fact, it didn't cost us anything to try the Lasette, they even refunded us shipping and handling. If you can afford it, try it out.
Our first Lasette didn't seem to be working as we couldn't get a drop of blood even at the highest setting.
After returning it to the company, it was discovered to be defective. A new Lasette was shipped overnight at no expense to us. We tried using it for another two weeks, but were only able to obtain the small blood samples adequate for his meter less than half the time. That meant sticking his finger again with his steel lancet.
The Lasette was compact and easy to use. The highest power setting was fairly painful and the smell of burning flesh was unappealing. It takes some getting used to and it's a little awkward using it on someone else. Also, it was more difficult to do at night using a nightlight than the traditional lance device.
